The area we want to cover will eventually house thousands of trees but it’s a good start! This is something we’ve been trying to do for a long time with little movement being made, then suddenly, bam! Everything is ready to go.
We contacted at least five different organisations that handle tree planting and had a lot of back and forth, but it’s taken a year to even get it started. Last week we got an email from one of them saying “sorry about the radio silence (for 6 months) but I’ll be there next week with a group of volunteers”
Rather than being a bit bitchy about this sudden thing we decided to just roll with it and get it done. Then today another one messaged us asking when they can come plant some tree. OH NOW YOU ALL WANT A PIECE OF OLE CONZO HUH?? But it doesn’t matter, three planting has started, and eventually we’ll have thousands
