I think a lot about how to balance that growth with who I am, and what I like, and what I want to do here. I value a feeling of intimacy and connection with my audience; expressing myself authentically; and stretching and improving my artistic abilities. I like to think I've been doing well on prioritizing those values. :) 🖤 Advertising is a necessary evil. I generally strongly dislike ads, but because this website does not have native cross-page traffic/exploration, I personally have to undertake the effort of advertisement across multiple platforms. I try to approach this with pragmatism: I want to get my content in front of people who want to see it. I hope to entice dedicated weirdos from other platforms, as well as fresh and curious eyes (who may vibe or bounce; no hard feelings). So I market. 🖤 It seems to be working. I am now blessed with longtime supporters as well as dewy-faced newbies. I'm also blessed with a growing battalion of spreadsheets, hard drives, notepads, and calendars. *C'est la vie.* I am happy.
