Even though I know this is going to end up being used against me somehow on content piracy sites, I would rather be honest and authentic. I have bipolar disorder (specifically type 2) - and recently have had to be hospitalized multiple times for manic phases where I was no longer in control of my behavior and actions. I appreciate that people are passionate in the community about my work. I appreciate that people find me approachable and want to connect with me. What I don’t appreciate is a sense of entitlement to my time, energy, and life. I make content because I enjoy it - when I’m unable to enjoy it due to my mental health, I take breaks. I need people to be understanding of this. There are times that I don’t have the energy to post, to connect, to create - to live. If I don’t respond to your message, or don’t make the content you’ve suggested or don’t “show up” in the way you want me to - that is not an invitation to harass me and make me feel worse. If people continue to not respect my boundaries idk if I’m going to continue to put myself out there, because I have to take care of myself and my survival first and foremost. You can’t fill from an empty cup.
