And my advice is don’t just jump right in and start exercising five days a week -- that’s a recipe for disaster!! It’s better that you gradually work up to exercising several days per week while you see how your body responds. And then increase amount of time at gym and pace SLOWLY! Be kind to yourself! Your body will be thankful 😘

I have often found that I am harder on myself than anyone else. The need for perfection leaves us creating standards that are neither reasonable nor provide space for us to breathe, pace ourselves, and experience the process. How do we define what’s unrealistic? Give yourself grace and be kind to yourself.

Fasted Cardio: The reason fat burning is increased when you fast is that the body will burn the nutrients that are readily available first. This means that if you have recently eaten a meal, your body will use the nutrients from that meal to power your body during exercise. Once it’s “burned” through those calories, it will then begin tapping into its energy stores (i.e. body fat) to satisfy its energy needs.
